Happily, B will be back on a schedule next week and the week following – he will be attending summer camp at his school.
This comes at just the right time – yesterday he asked me, “Mommy, when do I get to go to school again?” The concept of ‘summer vacation’ apparently escapes him.
The school year ends next month. I cannot believe that just yesterday, I was taking B to his first day of preK. He has learned so much since September – he knows all his letters and numbers, he can do basic math, he can sound out words. Every day he brings home a folder of school work, which he proudly shares with us. Here’s a sampling from this week:
In addition to his actual school work, which I’ll share later, B does a lot of drawing at school. (He is only 4.5, after all – all work and no play, etc.) He’s incredibly imaginative – he reminds me so much of my younger brother, it’s unnerving at times.
Seems a little heavy for preK. I’m just saying …
