This morning B showed me a Angry Birds video featuring what he described as “a fleet of birds”.
Wow, I said, Where did you learn that word? How do you know what a fleet is?
He gave me a withering look and announced,
I just know things, Mommy. Like a fleet of stairs.
I had to leave the room to keep from laughing.
We are super into Transformers at our house right now. Last night, while showing me a YouTube video of the Constructicons, B explained:
Mommy, they turn into mans and a ginactous dude!
While watching an episode of Caillou about Chinese New Year, B turned to me and announced,
I would love to see a dragon. I would know it’s not real, so I wouldn’t be afraid. Dragons aren’t real anymore, did you know that?
They are extinct!
After Trick-or-Treating last night, B and I settled down to decompress .
B is taking French once a week after school.
Tonight, he asked me,
B is taking a French class once a week, after school. It’s mostly for fun, but perhaps he’ll learn something while he’s at it. Last night he asked me if I wanted to know how to count in French. Of course I said ‘yes’:
“Hmmm. Well, how about I count for you in Glurm?”
“Yeah. Glun, Glue, Glee, Glore, Glive….”
Definition: really big, huge, enormous.
Ex: “Wow mommy. That cupcake is ginactic!”
“Mommy, this shirt fits me purple-y!”
