Several days a week, I walk in the door and have about 5 minutes to inhale a bowl of cereal and grab my sneakers, and then it’s time for a bike ride.
This kid loves his bike – that’s no surprise to anyone. What is new is that he’s big enough now to navigate the bike lanes and multiple intersections required to get us over to the bike paths by the river. All that training is paying off.
We average about 2 miles per ride, with frequent stops for exploration and crash tests. When we’re riding along the sidewalk, he will suddenly fling himself off of his bike and down into the neutral ground. People will actually stop to ask if he’s OK, as he rights himself and yells, “Did you see that one, Mommy?” and I reply, “Dude, that was awesome!”
