Easter 2011

This has been a really fun year to celebrate holidays, because B is at an age where he ‘gets’ the idea of Santa and the Easter Bunny.  And, oh boy, Easter Eggs.

First he came home from school with a boiled egg painted under the watchful eyes of his teachers.

A watched egg never dyes...

Then Granddaddy came to town with a suitcase full of PAAS dye and a gross of eggs.

And then Nonnie whipped out a craft project consisting of egg shaped sugar cookies, frosting, and edible paints!

What’s more fun than hunting for Easter eggs?  Hunting for Easter eggs over and over and over and over and over again!  Easter morning, B hid a dozen of his dyed eggs all around our apartment.  We only found 11.  (The 12th was found a week and a half later.)

At MomMom’s house, the Easter Bunny left a second offering, and MomMom had hidden (plastic) Easter eggs all over the first floor. B found them almost immediately, and then all the adults got to take turns hiding and finding them over and over and over and over and over and over again…
