Last week on social media, I compared the impending Papal visit to awaiting landfall during hurricane season. Much like the media coverage of a tropical storm in the Gulf, the lead up to the pope’s arrival in the U.S. was overblown. Happy Thursday. Here’s a flashback to 2011, when Jim Butcher released Book 13 in the Dresden Files series. I’m still loving Harry today.
Recently B discovered the ‘new’ Scooby Doo on Netflix. I’d never watched an episode from beginning to end, although I noticed that the characters were, well, drawn a little differently. (Turns out the series is called Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated.)
Here’s a post about the first Hunger Games movie that I wrote but failed to publish back in 2012. Jennifer Lawrence has continued to crush it as Katniss, and I think the movies are getting better and better. I cannot wait for the final installment – I’m marking November 20th on my calendar.
